Hope for the Holidays

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one this holiday season, we invite you to come to our faith-based support group, Hope For The Holidays on Tuesday afternoons in November at ALC from 1:30-3PM, and on the same day and time in December at Shepherd of the Valley on Patterson Road: November 5,12, 19, 26 and December 3, 10, 17 & 31.

This Christian bereavement group is facilitated by  ELCA Deacon, Gail Britt, a Luther Seminary graduate, a former five year veteran in hospice chaplaincy and bereavement facilitator who is a registered psychotherapist with the  Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

The curriculum is informed by the companioning grief model of Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Phd, of The Center of Loss and Life Transitions in Fort Collins, CO.  Gail is earning her bereavement certification from The Center and Colorado State University from 2019-2022.

We know that grieving is hard work. We invite you to surround yourself with others who truly understand how difficult it can be at this time of the year. Come once and try it out, or every week, if you like. Each week offers a different topic, all centered around the healing hope of Christ.

If you would like to attend this grief group, but would prefer a time on a weekday evening, please notify the church office.
